Espuela Ranch, owned by Mike and Gretchen Hachtel, was built in 2003 following their move to Collinsville, Texas. The 30-acre facility has a 20-stall heated show barn, indoor arena and two large outdoor riding arenas. Several quiet broodmare and retired show horse pastures complete the facility. Espuela Ranch specializes in training and showing Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure horses.

"We keep our operation small enough so that we are very involved in every aspect of your horse and their care," says Gretchen Hachtel.

The goal at Espuela Ranch has always been to have the best set of Paint show horses they can possibly have for their clients. The Hachtels focus on quality over quantity and pride themselves in that philosophy.

"Our relationships with our clients are very family like, and we enjoy our group as a whole and stand behind them 100%," says Gretchen.

The Hachtels employ Courtney Anderson as the ranch's assistant trainer, and she has worked for them since she was 12 years old! Courtney handles day-to-day operations, as well as many other tasks. She takes special pride in getting the young ones started and making way for them to become great show horses!

In addition to an outstanding lineup of Open, Youth and Amateur horses Espuela Ranch also stands two stallions off-site. Hunter Under Saddle horse THE OTHER MAN and Western Pleasure star A SCENIC IMPULSE are talented Paint horses that fit the bill of any mare owner looking for outstanding prospects.

Espuela Ranch also offers select Paint show horses and Paint prospects for sale and has a proven track record of matching horses with Youth and Amateur riders. The ranch and their clients are frequent visitors to the Paint show horse winner's circle.
